The Way Ever Lasting (Uraufführung) Natalia Horecna
Her choreographies are not abstract compositions of movement. She has created pieces about wars and mental abuse, about lost children and outsiders. With her work Natalia Horecna occupies a position in the midst of life, however, she is also consistently concerned with the search for spiritual exaltation. Following the world premiere “Wounded Angel” in b.30 the Bratislava-born artist returns to Düsseldorf with “The Way Ever Lasting”. “Like a path that will never end”, is how she describes her search for balance that provides the theme for her new dance piece – for an equilibrium between good and evil, between right and wrong, without whose contingency nothing positive can be created, “good things cannot be recognized, felt, lived, enjoyed”, in the words of the choreographer who attempts to advance through space enquiring with “the eyes of the heart” that lie behind the visible world and are capable of opening up unimagined freedom.
