Young⁺
In front of, on or behind the stage: Junge Oper and Tanz mit! invite young people with school and extracurricular projects to help shape the fascinating world of music theater and dance through creative experiences and their own forms of expression. The "UFO" makes music theater in the neighborhood for young and old and develops participatory music theater formats together with Düsseldorfers and Duisburgers.
Junge Oper am Rhein
The Junge Oper am Rhein is characterized by a diverse offering for children, teenagers, young adults and families. The stage program consists of large children's operas, which are shown on the two stages in Duisburg and Düsseldorf, as well as smaller foyer productions and mobile productions for nurseries or elementary school. Another focus of the Junge Oper is on music theater and dance projects for various age groups and extensive educational offers for the opera productions in the repertoire.

UFO – Junge Oper Urban
Participatory music theater by and with young and old
Music theater rethought, close-up and excitingly told - all this and much more can be seen in the mobile venue of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, which was conceived and designed by the architecture firm raumlabor berlin, made possible by the “Neue Wege” funding program of the NRW KULTURsekretariat Wuppertal.
The UFO is a real eye-catcher, a research station and a musical sound laboratory. It wants to be a place of encounter and cooperate with local actors to invent music theater together.

Tanz mit!
One thing is certain: we all dance! Every culture in the world has developed its own way of dancing and passed it on over the centuries as an intangible heritage. But which dance form is closest to us personally - ballet or breakdance, plié or paso doble? When do we want to dance?
At Ballett am Rhein, we dance out of passion and we have one big request: dance with us!
