Bert Dalhuysen
Bert Dalhuysen grew up in the Netherlands and studied at the Academy of Photography and Photo Aesthetics in The Hague. He worked for four years as managing director and photographer at the photo and design studio Arinde Visual Design in Amsterdam. In 1986 he was hired by the Amsterdam Opera, where he has been responsible for the artistic direction of lighting for the Dutch National Ballet ever since. Bert Dalhuysen has been working internationally as a lighting designer for ballet, drama and opera productions for 20 years and has worked with dance artists such as David Dawson, Krisztina de Châtel Jan Fabre, Nicolo Fonte, Itzik Galili, Krzysztof Pastor, Martin Schläpfer and Hans van Manen.
