Shalva Nikvashvili

Shalva Nikvashvili, born in Georgia in 1990, lives and works in Germany. Nikvashvili's artistic practice focuses on identity issues through transgressive interpretations of idiosyncrasy, visual explorations, and modifications applied to portraiture. In addition to his personal works, Nikvashvili creates costume designs for theaters and opera houses such as the Bavarian State Opera, Burgtheater, Thalia Theater, State Opera of Hannover, and Zurich Opera House.
