Gloria Rehm

The German soprano Gloria Rehm studied in Berlin with KS Prof. Bernd Riedel. Gloria Rehm won the German FAUST-Theater-Prize for her interpretation of Marie (Zimmermann: “Die Soldaten”) at the International May Festival in Wiesbaden. She also took first place at the Richard Strauss Competition in Munich and received two nominations as “Young Artist of the Year” in the magazines “Welt am Sonntag” and “Opernwelt”.
She began her stage career in 2011 in the ensemble of Cologne Opera, where she successfully performed roles such as Stasi (Kálmán: “Die Csárdásfürstin”), Eliza Doolittle (Loewe: “My Fair Lady”), Blonde (Mozart: “Die Entführung aus dem Serail”), Lauretta (Puccini: “Gianni Schicchi”) and Ännchen (Weber: “Der Freischütz”). She was then a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater between 2014 and 2019. She has also sung in opera houses and concert halls throughout Europe, where she has performed a variety of roles such as Zerbinetta (Strauss: “Ariadne auf Naxos”), Gilda (Verdi: “Rigoletto”), Blonde, Konstanze (Mozart: “Die Entführung aus dem Serail”), Waldvogel (Wagner: “Siegfried”), Madame La Mort (Henze: “Das Floß der Medusa”) and one of her signature roles: the Queen of the Night (Mozart: “Die Zauberflöte”). In 2024, she portrayed Ännchen at the Bregenz Festival and Morgana (Handel's “Alcina”).
In the 2024/25 season Gloria Rehm will sing the Queen of the Night at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
