Manuela Hartel

The versatile digital artist studied media art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, singing and performance at the American Institute in Vienna and the Centro Professione Musica in Milan. Her works have been shown at venues including the Pinakothek der Moderne Munich, MoCA Shanghai, the Venice Biennale, MUTEK Montreal, the Lebanon Biennale and the Haus der Kunst Munich. With performative video projections, she transforms churches, forests, ruins and backdrops into illusionistic places. She realizes video installations for theater, opera and concerts: Bavarian State Opera, Stuttgart State Opera, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and in collaboration with an international, contemporary dance and theater scene.
