Description
In addition to the famous Christmas Oratorio and his Passions, J. S. Bach also set other biblical stories to music, including the Ascension Oratorio (BWV 11) from 1738.
On Ascension Thursday, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra will perform all eleven movements (recitatives, arias, choruses) of the two-part work together with members of the vocal ensemble.
