Nancy Euverink

During her 20-year career as dancer of The Netherland Dans Theater Nancy Euverink danced choreographies of renowned artists such as Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Hans van Manen, Wayne McGregor, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Jorma Elo and Sol León & Paul Lightfoot. She has choreographed numerous ballets for the annual NDT choreographic workshop, creating her own sound designs for these ballets as well. In 2005, she was awarded the Achievement Award by Dansersfonds ’79. After retiring from the stage in 2007, Nancy Euverink has staged several choreographies for Jiří Kylián, Jorma Elo and Sol León & Paul Lightfoot at numerous world-class companies and assisted Elo as well as León & Lightfoot with the creation of several world premieres. Companies Nancy Euverink worked with as stager and assistant to the choreographer are Hubbard Street Chicago, the Royal Danish Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Ballett Mainz, Ballett Basel, Norwegian National Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Boston Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Stuttgarter Ballett, Scottish Ballet, State Ballet of Georgia, Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet, Vienna State Ballet and Houston Ballet. From 2011 until 2014 Nancy Euverink was the Director of the Dance Department of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, from 2014 until 2018 she was the Acting Artistic Director of the NDT II, worked as assistant to choreographers such as Johan Inger, Marne and Imre van Opstal and Jiří Pokhorny and staged, rehearsed and coached works by Hans van Manen, Marco Goecke, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar and Edward Clug. Nancy acts as Artistic Advisor and stager for Jorma Elo too. Since 2023 she also is a Certified Feng Shui Expert.
