Alejandro Azorín

Alejandro Azorín trained with José Antonio Robles in Spain and at the School of American Ballet in the USA. In 2015 he was engaged by the Semperoper Ballett, where he was promoted to first soloist in 2023. His repertoire includes works by Jiří Kylián, Justin Peck, George Balanchine, Johan Inger, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen and Sharon Eyal. He danced the role of Puck in “The Dream” by Sir Frederick Ashton, Prince Desiré in “Sleeping Beauty” and the title role in Aaron S. Watkin's “The Nutcracker” and Romeo in David Dawson's “Romeo and Juliet”. Azorín has worked with sought-after choreographers such as David Dawson for “The Four Seasons” and “Faun(e)”, Johan Inger for “Carmen” and “Ein Schwanensee” and Alexander Ekman for “COW” and was invited to perform at the 50th anniversary gala of the Prix de Lausanne. Alejandro Azorín is a member of Ballett am Rhein from the 2024/25 season.
