Ingo Joos

Ingo Jooß is a master event technician and has been working as a freelance lighting designer since 2010. Since then, he has designed the lighting for over 120 new productions in the fields of dance, opera, theater and performance. In collaboration with the Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili, he has created lighting designs for the Lithuanian National Theater for Opera and Ballet and for Theaterhaus Stuttgart. He worked with the Dutch choreographer Nani¬ne Linning on projects for the Stuttgart Ballet, the Thuringian State Ballet and the Theater Hei¬delberg.
For the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg, he created the lighting designs for several ballet productions choreographed by Dominique Dumais and Kevin O'Day as well as for several operas and musicals. He has also worked at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Stadttheater Pforzheim and Hagen as well as the Wilhelma Theater and the Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart.
Ingo Jooß also works as a lighting designer for various independent dance and theater groups in Stuttgart, Mannheim, Heidelberg and Munich. Since 2023, he has also been a member of the artistic management team of the “Theaternatur” festival in Benneckenstein/Harz.
