Talks & music to accompany our premieres
Almost like a fingerprint, your own handwriting is unique and individual. From a shopping list to a love letter: For many, handwriting is something mundane or banal, but artists and choreographers often spend a lifetime developing their own unique artistic signature. With the ballet evening “Signatures”, Ballett am Rhein starts the 2024/25 season with three choreographies, each of which impressively bears the dance signature of its choreographer. But how is such a signature formed? Taking this question as a starting point, Ballett am Rhein, together with an expert in graphology, will change perspectives and ask: What does this doctrine of handwriting as an expression of character tell us? Together we will go in search of what characterizes handwriting and what it can tell us about the author.
