Felix Seiler

Felix Seiler was born in Stuttgart, studied music theater directing at the Theaterakademie Hamburg and worked as an assistant director and stage manager first at the Staatsoper Hannover and then for several seasons at the Komische Oper Berlin. His work there also took him to Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House, the English National Opera, the Edinburgh International Festival and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London. Felix Seiler is an alumnus of the Deutsche Bank Foundation's "Akademie Musiktheater Heute" and was a semi-finalist for the Ring Award Graz in 2011 and a finalist for the European Opera Directing Prize in Madrid in 2015.
Since then, he has directed his own productions at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Staatstheater Braunschweig, the Theater Osnabrück, the Landestheater Coburg, the Theater Heidelberg, the Staatstheater Cottbus and the Staatsoper Hannover, among others. Felix Seiler will make his debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the 2023/24 season with "Anatevka" (Bock/Stein).
