Danny Costello

The American singer, dancer and choreographer Danny Costello started his career as a musical performer in New York City, where he appeared in musical productions such as "Gypsy", "Singin' in the Rain", "Pippin" and "West Side Story". At Berlin's Theater des Westens he appeared for ten years in "Anything Goes", "Bombenstimmung - eine UFA-Revue", "Blue Jeans und Damn Yankees". In addition, he was part of the cast of the world tour of the musical "Fosse" and the ensemble of the revival of "2nd Street" on Broadway in New York. He is now in demand as a choreographer for musicals, operas and revues. His works include "Clivia" (Dostal), "Tonight or Never" (Spoliansky), "Roxy and Her Wonder Team" (Abraham) and "Die Fledermaus" (J. Strauß Sohn) at the Komische Oper Berlin, "Ball im Savoy" (Abraham) at the Halle Opera, "Monty Python's Spamalot" (Idle) at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, "Zwei auf einer Bank" and "Home, sweet Home" at the Bar jeder Vernunft, the revues "Rhythmus Berlin", "Glanzlichter" and "Jingle Bells" at the Friedrichstadt-Palast, "Schweyk it easy" at the Theater des Westens, "Die Comedian Harmonists" (Wittenbrink) at the Theater Osnabrück, "Die Fledermaus" at the Zurich Opera House, "7,5 Cents -The Pajama Game" (Adler) at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen and "Die Zirkusprinzessin" (Kálmán) at the Hanover State Opera. He has worked for and with artists such as Die Geschwister Pfister, Stefan Huber, René Kollo, Barrie Kosky, Mitch Leigh, Rob Marshall, John Mauceri, Ann Reinking, Katharina Thalbach, Thommie Walsh, Konstantin Wecker, Felix Seiler and Francesca Zambello.
