America - the land of opportunity, but also a melting pot full of tensions and conflicts. In addition to their hopes and dreams, immigrants from all over the world also brought their musical traditions with them, enriching the country's culture with ever new influences. In April, a string quartet from the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker and bass Beniamin Pop will present "American" compositions not only by American composers, including Antonín Dvořák's famous, optimistically upbeat String Quartet in F major, op. 96 ("American Quartet").
