Julia Schinke

Dramaturg
Born in Munich, Julia Schinke studied dramaturgy at the Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich from 2016 to 2019. She completed internships with the Kevin O'Day Ballet at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the press department of the Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival and the Bavarian State Ballet under the direction of Ivan Liška. During her studies, she was already responsible for the dramaturgy of various productions and was awarded the Klaus Zehelein Prize for Young Dramaturgs for her work. Her first position took her to Theater Koblenz, where she was responsible for the dramaturgy of works from all four genres: music theater, ballet, drama and puppet theater.

Julia Schinke has been working as a dramaturge for the Ballett am Rhein since the 2022/23 season. Here she has supervised a large number of ballet evenings and was responsible for the premieres of “A Kiss to the World” by Dominique Dumais and “The thing with feathers” and “Surrogate Cities” by Demis Volpi, among others.
