Charlotte Kragh

Charlotte Kragh was born in Denmark and began training at the Norwegian National Ballet School before graduating from Hamburg Ballet’s ballet school. During this period, she danced in numerous major works by John Neumeier, notably “Yondering“, “Die vier Jahreszeiten“ and “On the Town“. She also appeared in performances with the Hamburg Ballett and the Bundesjugendballett, a program for young professionals initiated by John Neumeier. In 2018, she joined the Ballet Dortmund and performed in Xin Peng Wang’s “Swan Lake“, as Alice in Mauro Bigonzetti’s “Alice“, in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream“ by Alexander Ekman and in the triple bill “Visionen“ choreographed by Douglas Lee, Jacopo Godani and Wubkje Kuindersma. In 2014, she won the Gold Medal at the 27th International Classical Dance Contest in Grasse as well as Third Prize in the Nordic Baltic Ballet Competition. Charlotte Kragh became a member of the Ballett am Rhein company at the beginning of the 2020/2021 season. Since then, she has danced here in Twyla Tharp’s “Commentaries on the Floating World“, Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s “Die kahle Sängerin“, "The Cage" by Jerome Robbins, "Choleric" by Hélène Blackburn in Roland Petit’s “Carmen“, in Aszure Barton’s “Baal“ as well as in the role of Aunt Sweet Tooth in Demis Volpi’s “The Nutcracker“ and Pumphutt in Volpis "Krabat".
