Feline van Dijken, born in Amsterdam, studied ballet and dance at the Royal Ballet School in The Hague and the Heinz Bosl Foundation in Munich. She came into contact with the works of the Dutch grand master Hans van Manen at an early age - they are one of the reasons why she decided to pursue a career as a professional dancer. She deepened her training in summer courses at the Royal Ballet London and at the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive program in New York. After a first engagement with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich, Feline van Dijken danced with the Ballett am Rhein from 2009. During this time, she excelled in a variety of solo roles and was seen in creations by Andrey Kaydanovskiy, Twyla Tharp and repeatedly in new works by Martin Schläpfer. During her dance career, she has developed a wide-ranging repertoire from great classics such as “La Bayadere” or “Swan Lake” to George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Merce Cunningham, Jerome Robbins, Trisha Brown and Jiří Kylián. The works of Hans van Manen play a central role in this. She has danced “Große Fuge”, “Without Words”, “Black Cake”, “Polish Pieces” and “Kleines Requiem”, among others, and now stages his choreographies with the same passion.
