Courtney Skalnik

Courtney Skalnik was born in Oklahoma and trained first at the Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education in Canada and then at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto. She developed her skills further with summer courses that included Het National Ballet and San Francisco Ballet School. Before she became the member of a ballet company for the first time with the Ballett am Rhein in 2020/21, Courtney Skalnik had already performed with the National Ballet of Canada and the Tulsa Ballet. Since joining the Ballett am Rhein she has danced in Demis Volpi’s productions of "The Nutcracker" and "Bluebeard’s Castle", in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s "Die kahle Sängerin", Roland Petit’s "Carmen", in "Spectrum" by Juanjo Arqués, in "Le sacre du printemps" by Marcos Morau and Hélène Blackburn's "Choleric".
