Lara Delfino

Dancer
After graduating from the Escuela Nacional de Danza del Sodre in her native Uruguay, Lara Delfino danced with Ballet Argentino under the direction of Julio Bocca, the Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires, and then spent nine years with the Ballet Nacional del Sodre, Uruguay. Her repertoire includes works choreographed by Auguste Bournonville, Boris Eiffman, Ronald Hyde, John Cranko, Enrique Martínez, Marcia Haydée, Ane Marie Holmes, Luis Ortigoza, Natalia Makarova, Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine, Nacho Duato, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Demis Volpi and Twyla Tharp. Influential teachers included Mauricio Wainrot, Olga Evreinoff, Wilhelm Burmann, Frank Andersen and Marcia Haydée. Lara Delfino became a member of the Ballett am Rhein company at the beginning of the 2020/2021 season. Here she has danced in works including Demis Volpi’s "The Nutcracker" and "Geschlossene Spiele" (in the role of Senora Lopez), Twyla Tharp’s "Commentaries on the Floating World", Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s "Die kahle Sängerin" and "Short Cut" by Hans van Manen.
