Max Glaenzel was born in Barcelona and studied at the Centre d'Art i Disseny Escola Massana in his home city. The cross-disciplinary stage and costume designer has worked in particular with Spanish directors such as Àlex Rigola, Sergi Belbel, Gerardo Vera, Xavier Albertí, Carlota Subirós and Marta Pazos. His spaces have been shown at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Centro Dramático Nacional, Teatre Lliure, Teatro de la Abadía, Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz Berlin, Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, Opéra National de Lyon and Zurich Opera House. Max Glaenzel has been working closely with Marcos Morau since 2005, which has resulted in a number of joint concepts. Max Glaenzel created the stage design for Morau's "Le sacre du printemps" (Stravinsky) for the Ballett am Rhein.
