Jean-Michel Désiré
Jean-Michel Désiré began his career in 1978 at the Opéra de Marseille. In 1984, he worked with Roland Petit at the Ballet National de Marseille, marking the beginning of a long collaboration that would last until the choreographer's death in 2011. He realised all the lighting productions of the Ballet National de Marseille worldwide in theatres such as La Scala in Milan, Licéu in Barcelona, Metropolitan Opera, Kennedy Center in Washington, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Palais Garnier and Opéra Bastille, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Mariinsky Theatre, Beijing Opera or Seoul Opera. He was responsible for productions such as "Notre-Dame de Paris", "Proust ou les intermittences du cœur", "Le Jeune home et la mort", "La Dame de Pique", "Coppélia", "Casse-Noisette", "Carmen", "L'Arlesienne", "Pink-Floyd Ballet" and technically realised all ballets by Roland Petit. He also designed the lighting for Nicolas Le Riche's creations: "Odyssey" in 2014 and "Para-ll-eles" in 2016 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, as well as "Sur la grève" in 2017 and "B comme..." 2018 at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
