Mirjam Falkensteiner

Mirjam Falkensteiner, born in South Tyrol, Italy, studied painting with Katharina Grosse and Thomas Scheibitz at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where she graduated in 2021. Her works have been shown at the KIT - Kunst im Tunnel in Düsseldorf, the College of Arts Montepulciano, Italy, the Atelier Hafenstraße Mainz and the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, among others. She also works closely with director Joachim Gottfried Goller as a set designer, including at the Theater in der Altstadt Meran (“Wunschkonzert”), at the Carambolage cabaret theater in Bolzano (“Spieltrieb”), and “Drosseln (Swallow)” and at the Rotating Theater in Brixen (“Im weißen Rössl”). In addition, her video essay “Philosophie und Öffentlichkeit” was shown in 2021 as part of the “Theater der Welt” festival in Düsseldorf. At the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, she was most recently responsible for the set design of the world premiere of “So oder so oder so” at UFO - Junge Oper Urban in the 2022/23 season.
