Spielclub Musiktheater

The Fairy Queen
Beschreibung
At weekly meetings, you can work scenically, make music, discuss, write your own texts and try out various artistic practices in impulse workshops. You can also take a look behind the scenes of the performance business, attend rehearsals and performances and exchange ideas with experts. At the end of the season, you will present your own music theater performance at the Theatermuseum.

That's what this season is all about:

“Are you sure that we are awake? It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream.”
Shakespeare's famous comedy “A Midsummer Night's Dream” was the basis for the opera written by composer Henry Purcell in 1692. The trials and tribulations of the sexes, fairies and forest spirits form the fitting basis for this season's new project by Spielclub Musiktheater. An interdisciplinary rendezvous with baroque dancing, singing and comedic interludes will be an experience in and around the Theatermuseum Hofgarten Düsseldorf.

Kick-off October 9, 2024, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Rehearsals every Wednesday 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Balletthaus, Merowingerstr. 88, 40225 Düsseldorf
Premiere May 2025 at the Theatermuseum Düsseldorf
