About missed opportunities. The classic told from a new perspective.

Seemingly weightless floating bodies in white, floor-length tutus have shaped the image of romantic-fantastic ballet for generations - but there is much more profound in the classics than the fascination with aesthetics. "Giselle" has a central and absolutely timeless message: a brief moment can mean an eternity, and the ghosts of a missed happiness will never find peace.

In his new creation, Demis Volpi questions the material for a contemporary approach to traditions and gender images in ballet. He gives plenty of space to his passion for dance storytelling and the magic of the stage. In his version of the ballet classic, he focuses on the encounter of two women who are otherwise less in the spotlight and takes a new look at them: Giselle and Bathilde. The two women meet and experience something new and never before experienced - a familiarity, an attraction, a deep touch. But the moment lasts too short to grasp the feelings.
