Tetiana Zhuravel

Ukrainian soprano Tetiana Zhuravel graduated from the Peter Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Ukraine. She won 2nd prize and the Audience Prize at the 1st International Éva Marton Singing Competition in Budapest in 2014, the Audience Prize at the 1st International Virgilijus Noreika Competition for Singers in Vilnius in 2017 and the Audience Prize at the Grandi Voci singing competition in Salzburg in 2018.
She has been performing on international stages and at festivals since 2016. At the Hungarian State Opera, she sang the Queen of the Night (Mozart: “The Magic Flute”) and Sierva Maria (Eötvös: “Love and Other Demons”). At the Lviv National Opera, she sang Violetta Valéry (Verdi: “La Traviata”) in addition to the Queen of the Night. In 2017, she performed Ligeti's Requiem as a solo soprano in Brussels with the Belgian National Orchestra and the Hungarian National Choir. She also sang The Queen of the Night at the Macerata Opera Festival in Italy, at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Spain and at the Royal Opera in Stockholm. At the Opera Fest Tulchyn, she appeared as Zerlina and Donna Anna (Mozart: “Don Giovanni”) at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. At the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, she appeared as Violetta in 2019, as Queen of the Night in 2022, as Najade (Strauss: “Ariadne auf Naxos”) and as Susanna (Mozart: “Le nozze di Figaro”) in 2023.
In the 2024/25 season, Tetiana Zhuravel will be Queen of the Night at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
