Katja Lauter
Katja Lauter began playing the bassoon at the age of nine. At the age of 14, she began her junior studies with Prof. Marco Postinghel at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. In 2017, she moved to the Anton Bruckner Private University with Prof. Philipp Tutzer. Since 2019 she has been studying for a bachelor's degree with Prof. Gustavo Núñez, Prof. Tobias Pelkner and Prof. Amy Harman. She received important musical impulses during her Erasmus exchange with Prof. Claudio Alberti in Bolzano, as well as in private lessons and master classes with Miriam Kofler, Audun Halvorsen and Fredrik Eckdahl. Katja Lauter has also played in several renowned youth orchestras such as the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
She has been a bassoonist and contrabassoonist with the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker on a temporary contract since 2023.
