Kati Farkas
Kati Farkas completed her training as a musical performer at the Academy of Drama and Film in her hometown of Budapest and at the dance and vocal studio of the Theater an der Wien. She has appeared on stage in numerous major roles, including "Cats" (Zurich), "Starlight Express" (Bochum), "Grease" (Düsseldorf), "Les Miserables" (Duisburg), "The Life" (Kassel), "Chicago" (Berlin, Düsseldorf), "West Side Story" (Bregenz, Osnabrück), "Babytalk" (Eisenach), "Fame" (Gelsenkirchen) and "Hairspray" (Cologne). She has also appeared in front of the camera in film and television productions. She has worked as a choreographer at the Graz Opera, Hanover State Opera, Dresden State Operetta, the State Theatres in Mainz, Braunschweig, Kassel, Nuremberg, Oldenburg and Saarbrücken, the Landestheater Linz, Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and Bochum, Grillo-Theater Essen, the theatres in Dortmund, Bonn, Magdeburg, Heidelberg, Heilbronn, Osnabrück and Augsburg and the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen. Kati Farkas' choreographies have also been seen at festivals such as Oper im Steinbruch St. Margareten, the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival, the Bad Vilbel Castle Festival, the Nibelungen Festival in Worms and the Heidelberg Castle Festival. She also works as a voice-over artist in her native Hungarian.
Kati Farkas presented her choreographic work for the first time at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Lehár's "Der Graf von Luxemburg". She returns to the Rhine in the 2023/24 season with her choreography for "Das Märchen im Grand-Hotel" (Abraham).
