Justin Nardella

Australian set and costume designer Justin Nardella completed his training at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney. Since then, his work has been seen on international theater stages, festivals and events. He has designed sets for productions including “Peter Grimes” at the Royal Opera House London, “Mimma - A New Musical” at the Round House in London, “La Traviata” at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées Paris and “Acis and Galatea” at the English National Opera London and has worked with directors such as Deborah Warner, Tom Brennan, Luke Fredericks and Daniel Kramer. Nardella also designed the set for Jean Paul Gaultier's Fashion Freak Show 2022 at the Round House in London.
He has received numerous awards and scholarships. In 2021, he received the OFFIE Award for his costume designs in “The Sugar House” at the Finborough Theatre, the BMW Young Artist Award for Art and the DYCP grant from Arts Council England. As a video artist, he has worked with Jim Sharman on his film “Andy X”, Brendon McDonall on his film “Spoilers” and Tom Noakes on music videos for the band “The Scare”.
