Igor Bacovich

Igor Bacovich, born in Turin in 1982, began his dance studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza - Roma and graduated from CODARTS (Rotterdam, Netherlands). He then spent five years as a dancer with various Dutch dance companies.
However, his professional career is not only related to dance. For eight years he devoted himself to social work, which had a decisive influence on his creativity and approach to different perspectives. These experiences have provided him with valuable resources for his future career. He returned to the world of dance in 2013. Igor Bacovich's artistic work was honoured with the Premio Nazionale Sfera D'Oro per la Danza (Italy, 2021).

Metamorphosis Dance
The professional paths of artists Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich crossed back in 2013 and since then they have created numerous pieces together as guest choreographers for renowned dance companies and cultural institutions. In 2019, they founded their company Metamorphosis Dance, with which they have developed their own aesthetic line and language. Their passion lies in the process, in exploring all facets of movement and in constantly striving for excellence.
