Dominique Dumais has been the ballet director at Mainfranken Theater Würzburg since the 2018/19 season. She has also worked as a company dancer at the National Ballet of Canada and worldwide as a freelance dancer and choreographer. From 2002 to 2016, Dumais was the house choreographer and associate artistic director at the Kevin O'Day Ballet NTM Mannheim. . In addition to her work for the Mainfranken Theater, she acts as a teacher for movement experience and analysis. Based on her own and choreographic ballet experience, she orients herself as a lecturer in choreographic workshops around functional anatomy, with amateurs and professional dancers. She also choreographs in film. Her choreographies have been presented at the National Ballet of Canada, Stuttgart Ballet, Het National Ballet in Amsterdam, Tanzcompagnie Giessen, Stadttheater Augsburg, and Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, among others. She received three nominations for the Canadian "Dora Mavor Moore Award".
