Daniela Matys

Daniela Matys undertook ballet training at the City Conservatorium of her home city Vienna and received first engagements at the Province Theatre of Linz and at the theatre of Altenburg-Gera. In 2000 she moved to the ballet of Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she danced solo parts in numerous ballets by Youri Vàmos. From 2009 to 2014 she was a member of Martin Schläpfer’s Ballett am Rhein. Her repertoire includes ballets by Mats Ek, George Balanchine, Kurt Jooss, Martin Schläpfer, Uwe Scholz, Heinz Spoerli, John Neumeier, Regina van Berkel and Teresa Rotemberg. Apart from her dancing activity she has been trained as a therapist. Since the 2014/15 season she works as personal assistant for the artistic director.
